A final plea!

So now it comes down to the wire, and I am giving my top 10 reasons for voting NO tomorrow.

1) Its about priorities, fix the roads, keep us safe and educate our kids. Thats what you are being paid to do!

2) Whats the rush? we wont even get an approval to do the project for another couple of years. all the impact studies are not even complete.

3) Deliberately vague ballot. according to the wording, they can use the money on the river and/or something else.

4) Mismanagement at the county level. getting rid of Bell's who contributed real income to the county, and replacing it with a parking lot (and they said attendance/revenue was down, but not because of Bells being absent... yeah... right)

5) On an equally poorly worded ballot we already voted to have the river done in vision 2025.

6) the same person responsible for the design of "the Channels" is in charge of this design.

7) The Branson Landing people were going to come before any mention of this tax

8) I dont like conditional gifts...

9) County gov't has no business collecting sales tax. As the cities grow, they have less to take care of, they shouldnt be growing!

10) false advertising, if its such a great deal you dont have to lie about it... 10,000 jobs my a.... nose

See you at the polls!

I can speak for Tulsa roads. The whole operation is a complete joke! One has to look at the people with the contracts. Seriously, I lived in Connecticut for a decade. They have well organized crews who (((Work))) under light at night. They have "real" winter weather. Tulsans!!! they are trying to sell the people of Tulsa a bill of goods. Claiming they need more $$$$ and different materials to work with. Fact: A majority of the roads are being 1/2 @'s's''d. 1. They are avoiding using a reclaimer. Reclaimers remove a portion of the surface, leaving a great bonding surface for new asphalt. 2. The repairs made are always thin around 1" when they are supposed to be 2". 3 They are spending too much time putting bandaids on roads that should be repaired. 4 The use of time by the present work crews are "Egg in the Faces of Tulsans". A local News channel filmed a crew at a park drinking beer w/a supervisor a few years back. It's not uncommon to see 5 or six people in this "clown army", standing around ((avoiding the work)). I personally saw a crew on Dawson (while I was getting sheetmetal supplys 2 wks ago) These guys had a crew of six or seven parked on a side street. One crew member was chasing the other in circles around the trucks with a construction cone. I witnessed A crew on Admiral (across from Napa) camped out doing nothing for days. Tulsa needs an honest hardworking contractor. I met a couple of contractors in Ct. With that kind of pay, they will work 24/7 (under lights at night) in most weather conditions. ps. This winter; When TuLsa has a ice storm forecast, It's best to put the salt & sand down, before a layer of ice is formed. The ground helps melt it & the plows dont break off their blades ((costing us more$)) Tulsans have become so busy working longer hrs with less pay, they have become gullable. These roads are the reason Tulsa didn't get their river tax passed. The People still have priorities.
