More blame games...

A lot of people are putting McCain's defeat on the shoulders of Sarah Palin,  but again we have history to back up the fact that he was faltering long before she was put on the ticket (late August 2008). McCain ended up higher (46%) in the polls than he was at before he picked her (43%).

Here is Pollsters Data

Am I advocating Sarah for President? not at this point. But it just shows just how bad of a candidate McCain was.

Real or not?

Becasue of the SCotUS case on Friday I thought I would visit the Obama "Birth Certificate" issue.

First let me say, I dont know the truth, I want to know the truth, and Obama could lay it to rest in about 10 seconds, but he hasn't.

This situation reminds me of the forged documents that Dan Rather tried to incriminate President Bush with a few years ago, so I decided to try a little experiment...

here is the "Birth Certificate" that Obama has presented as the real thing:

I opened up the file in Photoshop and using red Arial 12.5 type I typed out his name, with 5 spaces between each part.

I then moved the red type over the original type.

Ill let you be the judge...

UPDATE: and apparently, Im not the only one who think its been photoshopped.

No matter what happens tomorrow...

There has been an email running loose for the last few weeks predicting the results of the election, saying that no matter what happens, God is still in control. I have rounded up a few verses emphasizing this. (ESV)

Proverbs 8:15(a)
By me kings reign

Daniel 2:21
He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding;

Colossians 1:16
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.

It should also be known we also get what we deserve. God's chosen people were not immune from his wrath, he allowed them to be ruled over by evil kings, he let them be overrun by cruel nations, and he eventually allowed them to be scattered to the 4 corners of the earth... Don't for one second think we are any better than his chosen people were.

Unfortunatly a WHOIS on the domain gives us no information about who registered this domain.

Can we just stop the calls of racism?

Im not voting for Obama and it has absolutly nothing to do with his color, it has everything to do with his ideas.

In the past I have supported Roscoe Turner, JC Watts, Michael Steele, Lyne Swan, Condoleezza Rice, Clarence Thomas and until recently Gen. Powell... (again) not because of their color, but for what they stood for.

Notice the amount of "support" those listed got from the Democratic side of the isle.

The Headline on Yahoo! reads:

Alaska's largest newspaper endorses Obama

Well heres something for a little perspective:

Anchorage Daily News endorses KERRY
and
Anchorage Daily News endorses GORE

so really, is anyone really suprised?

"When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic" - Unknown Source

This quote popped into my head this morning after hearing "George" on the Pat Campbell show on 1170 KFAQ, so I decided to do a quick google to see if I could find out who the quote was attributed from... apparently this quote has popped into a lot of peoples heads recently...

Would the Last Honest Reporter Please Turn On the Lights?

An open letter to the local daily paper -- almost every local daily paper in America:

Loss of support?

Biden has made a statement that if Obama is elected president something will happen and “he's gonna need help. And the kind of help he's gonna need is, he's gonna need you - not financially to help him - we're gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right."

What does that mean… it probably doesnt mean surrender or non action, cause his supporters would welcome that, it also probably doesn’t mean going to war, ‘cause the Democrats didn’t seem to care when we went into Bosnia under Clinton. So what does that leave? I’m guessing stripping the very rights away from his supporters, as in martial law.

Is this tin foil hat territory, or is Biden talking outta his butt (again)?

For some reason Georgianna Oliver removed her endorsement from ACORN off of her website

(from Googles cache)

It's too bad she forgot to remove the endorsement letter:

Once she finds out the mistake, it will be gone too, so I have a copy right here for you to read.

Schlep this!

In case you havent heard, Jewish grandchildren are being encouraged to encourage their grandparents to vote for Obama...

Before the Grandparents commit, maybe they need to read what Jesse Jackson says Obama has in store for America's relations with Israel:

The most important change would occur in the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end.

Jackson believes that, although "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" remain strong, they'll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.

----

Jackson is especially critical of President Bush's approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict.

"Bush was so afraid of a snafu and of upsetting Israel that he gave the whole thing a miss," Jackson says. "Barack will change that," because, as long as the Palestinians haven't seen justice, the Middle East will "remain a source of danger to us all."

"Barack is determined to repair our relations with the world of Islam and Muslims," Jackson says. "Thanks to his background and ecumenical approach, he knows how Muslims feel while remaining committed to his own faith."

One big Questionable...

If you want to add up all the conspiracy theories into one place (not saying they are all true or not, but some straight forward answers or documentation from Obama would clear a lot of these up).

What we have in Obama is a person who is claimed to be the Messiah, of questionable birth, and questionable religious beliefs, with questionable motives & experience, who associates himself with questionable people and organizations, that if elected will be a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

Scary Quotes...

"Starting in January … we have to rewrite how we finance in America," said House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank (Mass.), House Democrats' chief negotiator on the bill. He predicted that the legislative program will be "comparable to what Franklin Roosevelt did in the New Deal."

"
The polls all show that we have a chance to win at least 11 seats.  That's more than enough for the filibuster-proof majority we will need to bring some of the most important changes of our lifetime." – Donna Brazile

This is the sole reason we need McCain needs to be there to stop a "full house."

Squash the truth

Im sure you have seen the singing of the children for the Obamassia floating on you tube. A post describing the "grass roots" effort was posted on Obama's website, but when it was shown to be not so "grass roots" that information was pulled... Luckily, for the time being, it is in Googles cache (minus the comments comparing it to somthing children would be forced to to for leaders in communist countries.

...the more they soildify my vote for McCain. It's not that I like McCain any more, but because those making the disturbing/outlandish/disgusting/biased/crude remarks  will be those who will have Obama's ear.

They were warned...

back in 2005 we were warned about Freddie Mac and Fannie may, instead the democrats blocked the attempt to reel them in...

this is what Juan McCain had to say about it in 2005:

Sen. John McCain [R-AZ]: Mr. President, this week Fannie Mae’s regulator reported that the company’s quarterly reports of profit growth over the past few years were “illusions deliberately and systematically created” by the company’s senior management, which resulted in a $10.6 billion accounting scandal.

The Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight’s report goes on to say that Fannie Mae employees deliberately and intentionally manipulated financial reports to hit earnings targets in order to trigger bonuses for senior executives. In the case of Franklin Raines (Obama's Housing Advisor), Fannie Mae’s former chief executive officer, OFHEO’s report shows that over half of Mr. Raines’ compensation for the 6 years through 2003 was directly tied to meeting earnings targets. The report of financial misconduct at Fannie Mae echoes the deeply troubling $5 billion profit restatement at Freddie Mac.

The OFHEO report also states that Fannie Mae used its political power to lobby Congress in an effort to interfere with the regulator’s examination of the company’s accounting problems. This report comes some weeks after Freddie Mac paid a record $3.8 million fine in a settlement with the Federal Election Commission and restated lobbying disclosure reports from 2004 to 2005. These are entities that have demonstrated over and over again that they are deeply in need of reform.

For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—known as Government-sponsored entities or GSEs—and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. OFHEO’s report this week does nothing to ease these concerns. In fact, the report does quite the contrary. OFHEO’s report solidifies my view that the GSEs need to be reformed without delay.

I join as a cosponsor of the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act of 2005, S. 190, to underscore my support for quick passage of GSE regulatory reform legislation. If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole.

I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.

Meanwhile contributions from Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac have come to light... one of the biggest recipiant of "donations"? Barack Obama.

This makes it Bush/McCains fault, how?

An open letter to 3rd party candidates.

Dear Libertarians, Greens, Constitutionalists & other 3rd Party Candidates and National Organizations,

I know you want to see change, I think we all do (as long as it is the right kind of change), but why must all of you act like teenagers looking to make a million dollars right out of high school? Why cant you do what most successful people do and start at the bottom and work your way up? How many 3rd party Congressmen or Senators are there on the national level? How many on the state level? If the general population can't see your words in action, then why should they trust you to vote for you?

I understand your arguments about wanting access to state ballots, and I agree, if you run for president and are from a legitimate party, people should have the right to vote for you, but without any kind of support from the bottom up your odds of winning are slim and none.

I still like Bob Barr, I also know I won't get a chance to vote for him in November because of the despicable way Oklahoma has kept him and others off of the ballot. So once again, I will have to hold my nose and vote for the lesser of two evils.

So here's a little advice... to increase your chances in 4 years I would suggest that, starting in 2010, 3rd party candidates line up for local, state and federal offices outside of the presidency to give you the appearance of seriousness and viablility to the voting public.

She wants to go to war with Russia!!!!

Or maybe she has a better grasp of what NATO membership entails that Obama & Biden...

"Going forward, the United States and Europe must support the people of Georgia. Beyond immediate humanitarian assistance, we must provide economic assistance, and help rebuild what has been destroyed. I have consistently called for deepening relations between Georgia and transatlantic institutions, including a Membership Action Plan for NATO, and we must continue to press for that deeper relationship." - Statement of Senator Barack Obama on the Conflict in Georgia, August 11, 2008

"I believe, and speaking for myself only, we should encourage Ukraine and Georgia by granting their requests for MAPs. Both countries have made substantial progress towards consolidating the gains of the Orange and Rose revolutions -- and they already have made substantive contributions to NATO operations. A Membership Action Plan is not an irrevocable step for either the applicant state or for the alliance. The decision on an invitation to join the alliance can take as long as NATO wants or the applicant state requires." - Statement of Senator Joe Biden, March 11, 2008

Did he mean it?

About a week ago a new face on the republican scene made a joke during her acceptance speech "what’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick."

Yesterday Obama made a quip saying "You can put lipstick on a pig," Obama said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."

Obama may not have meant to call Palin a "pig", even though her lipstick reference is still fresh in everyone’s mind (and probably why the croud was cheering), but in the eyes of this “typical white person” who is “bitter” and “clinging to his guns and his God”, he has some 'splanin to do.

Doesn't anyone find it strange...

... that the democrats are absolutely giddy at the prospect that another hurricane is about to wipe out New Orleans? Considering that New Orleans is a predominantly black city (67%) where over a quarter of the population lives below the poverty line.

Did they really just go there?

"Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency." - Marc Ambinder

"Vice Presidents must assume the reins should the President become ill or deceased. This is a very real possibility, given McCain's age, cancer and other physical problems. How dare McCain put someone into the biggest most important job in the world who is mere months out of running a tiny village in an isolated part of the country?" - Diane Francis

Lets look at it this way concerning "experience & credentials", If McCain is elected president, Palin has a possibility of becoming President. Obama, on the otherhand, if elected, is guaranteed to become president.

Oh, the Irony!

While the Republicans and democrats were doing everything in their power to keep the likes of Bob Barr off of the Oklahoma General election ballot, they forgot about the Aug 26th deadline to get their presidential candidates registered on the statewide Texas ballot. So as it stands right now, the only presidential candidate on the Texas presidential ballot is Bob Barr.

Send in the hounds...

A little over a year ago I figured out (one of) Obama’s MOs. Send in some attack dog to try and discredit his opponent, and then claim he didn’t do it, didn’t know about it, disavow it, yada, yada, yada.

Well we can see it happening again (and again, and again), this weekend it was General Weasel Clark and Rep. Jim Webb, attacking Juan McCain’s military experience. Notice that Obama is quick to "condemn" the attacks without actually condemning them.

Yet another lapse of judgment?

Just how many of these people is he going to surround himself with? William Ayres, Rev. Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Tony Rezko, Rashid Khalidi and now Muslim Militant Raila Odinga?

Raila Odinga is the co-president of Kenya and Obama’s cousin. In 2006 Obama took a trip to Kenya and campaigned for him. Odinga promised to “rewrite the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Sharia as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.” if he was elected president.

When he was not elected (and I’ll admit it looked like a fixed election) his followers rioted, murdered and burned Christians to death.

Notice a familier theme on Raila’s website?

Why is there no media attention to this association?

My opinion of Scott McClellan..

is best summed up by Scott McClellan himself:

"Well, why, all of a sudden, if he (Richard Clarke) had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner? This is one-and-a-half years after he left the administration. And now, all of a sudden, he’s raising these grave concerns that he claims he had. And I think you have to look at some of the facts. One, he is bringing this up in the heat of a presidential campaign. He has written a book and he certainly wants to go out there and promote that book."

So Scott, why should we believe you now?

It took 6 ballots, but...

Bob Barr has won the nomination to be the  Libertarian candidate after a tough fight with Mary Ruwart.

Monday, May 12, 2008

Bob Barr is in...

Bob Barr announced today that he is running for the president of the United States of America.

So what will it take for Bob Barr to capture my vote?

There are two situations that will allow me to vote for him with a clean conscience:

The first is he will have to run an effective campaign and polls should show that he is a viable candidate. From what I have seen of his platform, he is sufficiently different then the other three people running to actually give people a choice. If Juan McCain keeps sliding to the left, then this will also help him out, as conservatives are not happy with the way the Republican Party is heading.  Republican supporters are already complaining that he going to be another Ross Perot and that Barr didn’t learn anything from that. Maybe the Republican Party should look at that lesson and learn something instead.

The other way he will get my vote is if it looks like the democrat is going to win by a comfortable margin. Might as well make it a landslide at that point, might force the Republican party to reexamine their goals. The Republican Party has drifted so far away from my ideals in the last 10 years that I don’t feel like I owe them anything. For them to get my support, they need to support our beliefs.

Friday, May 09, 2008

Do conservatives still have a choice?

After reading that Juan McCain is planning on a “Climate Change Tour” (As one reader commented on the story summed up me feelings pretty well said, “How about a national debt tour? How about an illegal immigration tour? How about an energy tour? How about a shut off this stupid ethanol production tour? How about a social security tour? Why don't you tour the real issues our country is so desperately facing now you punk.”) I really have to ask myself why should I vote for McCain?

As I looked through the comments of the story the name of former Georgia Republican Representative, Bob Barr popped up. He is exploring a presidential run for the libertarian party, and for the most part he lines up where the Republican party should be, not where it is heading.

If he decides to make his run, we will have a real choice, and it might send a message to the republican party that we don’t like the direction they are going.

Does she think we are stupid?

I recently heard a black woman spout something along the lines of "Does Hillary think we are stupid?" No madam, the whole of the Democratic leadership thinks you are stupid.

They think you cant live without their help.
They think you can't get an education without their help.
They think you can't get a job without their help.
They think you can't get food without their help.
They want you to believe that you can't do anything without their help.

You have bought into it lock stock and barrel. What was the last thing the Democrats did to help you succeed? But you think its ok, because the Democrats say it isn't your fault.

They say violence in your community isn't your fault.
They say drug use in your community isn't your fault.
They say the unwed teen mother problem isn't your fault
They say that your children failing schools aren't your fault.
They say gang problems aren't your fault.
Heck they will even help out by providing a way to kill your babies.

And you believe them! And you thank them with your votes. You see anyone who has succeeded on their own as some sort of "Uncle Tom" and dismiss them, unless of course they preach down, or rap to you about how "stupid" you are.

Known by the company you keep

Obama is bitter, because people are now asking some more personal questions about him, but I would have to ask, what would the media do if McCain’s pastor was preaching that Blacks were inferior, and his acquaintance was a grand wizard of the KKK?

You choose your friends, you choose your church… looks like he has made some poor choices, unless that is what he really believes.

Michele Obama - Wife
"For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country"

"Reverend" Wright – Race baiting "preacher"
"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people"
"U.S.K.K.K.A."
"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye"

(funny how he has no problem accepting a 1.6 million dollar house in a white neighborhood with a 10 million dollar allowance set up for him by his church)

William Ayers – Known terrorist
"I don’t regret setting bombs, I feel we didn’t do enough." (in an interview after 911)

Saturday, April 12, 2008

Sometimes you just can't disagree... (pt. 2)

Yesterday, Obama made some pretty demeaning comments about your "typical white person" ("It's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.")

To which, Clinton replied:

"I was raised with Midwestern values and an unshakable faith in America and its policies," she said. "Now, Americans who believe in the Second Amendment believe it's a matter of constitutional right. Americans who believe in God believe it's a matter of personal faith.

"I grew up in a church-going family, a family that believed in the importance of living out and expressing our faith. The people of faith I know don't 'cling' to religion because they're bitter. People embrace faith not because they are materially poor, but because they are spiritually rich.

"Our faith is the faith of our parents and our grandparents. It is a fundamental expression of who we are and what we believe."

Did she really mean that? who knows, but even a broken clock is right twice a day

Friday, April 11, 2008

Sometimes you just can't disagree...

As reported here, the question is however if it is nothing but words...

"Parents if you don't parent, we can't improve our schools," he said. "You've got to parent. You've got to turn off the television set in your house once in a while, you've got to put the video game away once in a while."

Obama, who aspires to be the first black president, dwells a little longer on the subject with predominantly black audiences, as he did Thursday in this economically struggling city in the south shore of Lake Michigan.

"You should have a curfew in your house so your children aren't out in the streets all night. You should meet with the teacher and find out what the homework is and help that child with the homework. And if you don't know how to do the homework, don't be embarrassed, find someone to help you."

"Fathers, be fathers," he added. "Be a part of your child's life. Be a part of your child's life and try to make them proud.

"And the last thing is, if your child is misbehaving at school don't curse out the teacher. You know who you are. It's not the teacher's fault that your child is misbehaving. That's some home training."

The crowd reacted raucously and Obama laughed. "You know what I say is true, though. Don't blame the teachers, and the government and the schools if you're not doing your job."

So that's the Democrats problem...

They dont understand the concept of math.

Yesterday Pelosi said that Voters will determine Dem, not party leaders. The problem with that thinking is that in order to secure the nomination, Clinton needs something like 97% of the reminaing delegates and Obama needs well over 70% of the remaining delegates. With they way they have been splitting the vote in every state, that is not mathematically probable.

It's over

The future of our nation is now in the hands of one of three liberals...

Thursday, February 28, 2008

Im failing to see the problem...

The financial times has an article titled "Concerns over Obama’s shift to left", in which it states that Obama is against the free running of Mexican trucks on our highways... truck which do not meet our standards, driven by drivers who do not meet our standards, and putting drivers out of business because they work cheaper. I fail to see a problem with Mr. Obama's stand.

It also mentions about how he is against the outsourcing of jobs overseas. Again, I fail to see the problem with this. Im all for business, and the free trade there of, unless it becomes damaging to our economy, our security and our sovereignty, in which shipping most of our manufacturing jobs off to China has done.

America's (or should I say international) "big business" isnt the business we need to be coddling, we need to support the little guy, the people that employ most of the people in the USA, the people who enrich the local landscape of our communities. We dont need to be offering tax breaks to international conglomerations who keep their money and their laborforce offshore. Its time to start working for the USA again.

Before you get the wrong idea, this isnt in any way an endorcement of Obama, but it just shows that for some people that the almighty dollar is the most important thing.

Where there is smoke... (Updated)

This unedited picture has been causing a stir on the internet today. Obama's camp decried it as "dirty politics"... Why? Isn't the person in the picture Obama? Isn't he wearing what looks to be traditional muslim garb?  Isnt he wearing the garb of his own free will? Instead of screaming "fire", maybe the Obama camp should have just calmly explained the story behind the picture (its not like Presidents Bush and Clinton, and Hillary herself havent done somethign similer in their past), instead they go on the defensive, like maybe they have something to hide.

It kind of reminds me of the "attack" Mike Huckabee pointed at Mitt Romney, bringing up a question about the Mormon faith. Instead of expaining where Mike was wrong (?) Mitt and company called him out as being a hate monger. Mitt himself would not (or could not?) defend his faith.

(I cannot believe Im going to say this) Hillary said it best "Why are you -- why is anybody concerned about this?"

UPDATE: There is a theory floating around that Obama's camp released the photo, so as to cause this s***storm to mask the endorsement that he recieved yesterday from Nation of Islam's leader Louis Farakahn

Is the fix in?

Its long been argued in the sports realm that "Its hard to  beat your opponent when the officials are on their side". That is what Huckabee experienced Saturday. With a 200 vote deficit and over 12% of the votes yet to be counted GOP officials decided to stop counting and declare Juan McCain the winner.

Wednesday, February 06, 2008

Who's a fiscal conservative?

Back in November Dick Morris thinks Huckabee is.

Entrepreneur.com thinks something must have been done right in Arkansas.

I know its too late for Oklahoma to use this information, but maybe our friends to the south and the north can benefit.

What does the Club for growth say about the so-called fiscal conservative Romney?

"Romney's strident opposition to the flat tax; his refusal to endorse the Bush tax cuts in 2003; his support for various minor tax hikes; and his once-radically bad views on campaign finance reform all cast some doubts on the extent and durability of his commitment to limited-government, pro-growth policies. His landmark steps in the healthcare arena also exhibit a mixture of desirable pro-free market efforts combined with a regrettable willingness to accept, if not embrace, a massive new regulatory regime."

"Governor Romney's history on tax policy is scattered with inconsistencies."

Do we need another son of a famous politician, turned businessman, turned one term Governor as president?

Why?

It kinda makes me wonder why were are in such a predicament, and here's what I think the answer is "Fred Thompson". He got everyones hopes up, which caused his supporters to go on the attack on all the other candidates (without really playing up Fred's "strengths"), then Fred decided not to bother showing up for the race. Now all his former supporters are looking like hypocrites trying to gather support for people they lambasted up until the time he dropped out. Now these same people are trying to rally the base to knock out the surging McCain, and I think it is too late.

What I see happening is a 3 way race... McCain, Clinton and Bloomberg, with Bloomberg getting the nod, since about 1/2 of the democrats cant stand Hillary, and 1/ 2 of the republicans not liking McCain. Bloomberg will roll in with his millions and even though hes just as left as the other two he is a "choice".

I hope Im wrong.

Mike on MTV

Gov. Huckabee participated in MTV and MySpace's Presidential Forum yesterday (Romney and Juan McCain declined). For those who did not see it, here is his portion.

Under the Radar

Either there was no news coverage, or I missed the story...

Duncan Hunter… my first choice for President, has endorsed Huckabee

Jumping on the bandwagon...

...or just drinking the kool-aid?

Are "conservatives" leaning towards McCain now because people like a "winner", or are they really believeing the propoganda being spewed by the media?

You still have a real choice...

Take me to your Leader

As I climb onto your back, I will promise not to sting
I will tell you what you want to hear and not mean anything
Then I treat you like a dog, as I shoot my venom in
You pretend you didn't know, that I am a scorpion
Megadeth – The Scorpion

For me the presidency comes down to three issues...
Our nation’s sovereignty, the ability of its citizens to defend the sovereignty of the nation, and a strong support of Israel. If we can’t (or won't) protect our country, ourselves and our allies then what’s the point?

On the matter of our nation’s sovereignty, our last three presidents (with generous support from the congress and senate) have sold us out to the UN, China, the Middle East and Latin America. NAFTA, CAFTA, China’s favored trading partner status, and the North American corridor have done more harm than good. Our jobs are being exported to the lowest bidder or handed over to illegal foreigners. Meanwhile, thanks to unscrupulous businessmen and bankers we have been put in a position where we are being purchased bit by bit by the Chinese government.

We need to stop the flow of illegal immigrants, and the sure-fire way of sending them back home is to remove their primary reason for being here. . . money. Oklahoma’s HB1804 stops them by drying up the sources for the money by punishing those who hire them in the first place. But we need a leader who will make that stand.

I’m afraid the above situations are moving the nation to the brink of civil war, or (with one illegal immigrant coming into the USA every 30 seconds) a full-fledged foreign invasion. Katrina, and to a smaller scale the Tulsa ice storm, showed just how ill prepared the vast majority of people are in the event of an emergency, what happens in the case of an epidemic or terrorist attack? Are you prepared? Can you provide for your family and protect what is yours? Remember, it is the Second Amendment that gives the rest of the Constitution its teeth.

Since Jimmy Carter’s reign of terror, our nation has tried to carve up Israel to appease the terrorists in that area of the world, while our own history consists of conquering other peoples and taking their land. We need a president who will stand behind Israel, give them real support, and quit pushing them into a corner. Her enemies only want one outcome. . . her destruction, what is going to happen will happen, but shouldn’t we be on the right side of the conflict?

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Genesis 12:2-3 (KJV)

I used to be a one issue voter (abortion) but now there are bigger fish to fry. After all "we the people" have done a lousy job concerning abortion. If this nation really is 80% "Christian" then that issue shouldn’t even be on the radar. Yet with close to 1,000,000 abortions a year that tells me we have a morality problem and electing a certain person to office won’t fix that.

What this country needs is a strong leader, one with principles, one who means what he says, and says what he means. Unfortunately none of the crop of candidates meets all these needs.
Guliani is a strong leader & he proved that with his handling of 9-11 plus being mayor of NY means he was in charge of the 16th largest economy in the world, but he has a load of moral baggage that would make a democrat squeamish.
Romney talks a good talk, but I don’t trust a person who won’t defend their faith. I think I would rather have an atheist in office than one who is a member of a secretive cult.
Thompson hits the nail on the head with most issues but hasn’t shown that he can lead, his campaign by all accounts has been an abysmal failure. He was touted as the next Reagan, but Bob Dole could run circles around him in terms of energy, organization and leadership.
And Huckabee, as much as I like the way he sounds, did have issues with immigration and taxes (but is now for the fair tax). Like he said, things change when you go from a local viewpoint to a national one

Speaking of immigration, I cannot fault any candidate who at least tried to tackle the issue of illegal immigration. Guliani, Romney and Huckabee did what they could when the Federal gov’t turned its back on them, sure they could turn them over to INS only to have them re-released back into the general population.

Remember, it wasn’t until last year that the people finally got fed up with illegals and the lack of support by the federal gov’t.

Huckabee's Cross

Without a doubt this has to be the DUMBEST controversy EVAR!

Ok, so there is a bookcase in the background that looks like a cross... maybe it was intentional, maybe it wasn't... but what is obvious is that those complaining they didn't bother to LISTEN to the ad where Mike says "What really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ..."

Thoughts on the CNN debate

As most have heard, there were several Obama, Hillary and Edwards plants at the CNN debate last night. In my opinion it revealed a couple of things.

It showed, at worse, CNN's bias and at best a lack of investigation, but with the exception of the demagoguing retired gay general (they gave answers sir, just not the answers YOU wanted to hear), and the obvious plant in the focus group (I'm voting for Edwards?!?) whats the big deal?

They asked hard questions and most answered them. Thats more than can be said about the Democrats considering they wouldn't go on FOX to debate. It's a far cry better than the lack of follow up on Blitzer's questioning of Hillary.

One can guarantee, that the democratic candidates would not subject themselves to republican's (or anybody else for that matter) asking tough questions, no they would run away... Kinda like what they are doing for their last debate, they cant stand the light of truth shown on them, so they are using the strike as a convenient cover to hide from the voting public.

Where did they lie?

Regarding the  flap over the "poll questions" posed in NH concerning Mitt Romney, I have to ask... did they lie?

According to this story we find out that among the questions the caller asked was whether the person receiving the call knew Romney was a Mormon (true), that he received military deferments when he served as a Mormon missionary in France (true), that his five sons did not serve in the military (true), that Romney's faith did not accept blacks as bishops into the 1970s (true) and that Mormons believe the Book of Mormon is superior to the Bible (true).

they could have also asked if they knew that Mormons believed that Jesus and Satan are brothers...

Though some key players were AWOL

Former Gov. Mike Huckabee came in a suprising 2nd place in the Iowa straw poll with 18.1%.

Does this mean the conservative base is finally looking past the big 3(4)?

I personally hope so, but like I said, several key players didn't participate

now that it's too late...

Senator Clinton wants to crack down on China's trade practices. Apparently she had no influence on President Clinton when he called to renew the most favored trade status with the communist country in 1998.
Was it because China gave money to Bill for his re-election?

"Trade is also an important part of our relationship with China. Our exports have tripled over the last decade and now support over 170,000 American jobs," Clinton argued in 98. Now, almost everything we buy comes from China and the only ones benefiting from it are Wal-Mart and the Chinese Gov't whose military is growing at a record pace.

Give Hope another chance!

The more I hear from and about former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, the more I am leaning his way.

Judge Not

what part of Thou shalt not Judge does Dobson not understand?

Dobson said of Thompson. "[But] I don't think he's a Christian; at least that's my impression,"

That’s not your judgment to make Mr. Dobson, of all people, you should understand the real meaning behind one of Christ’s most famous sayings.  Man is not to be the judge of whether someone is saved or not, only God can make that judgement.

One also has to question Dobson praising former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, considering his background...

Keeping his hands clean

I'm sure by now you have heard the story of the "advertisement” that mysteriously popped up on YouTube, which looked similar to the old 1984 Apple commercial.

The ad portrayed Clinton on a huge television screen addressing an audience that sat in a trancelike state. A female athlete, running ahead of storm troopers, sprints into the auditorium and tosses a hammer at the screen, destroying Clinton's image. "On January 14th the Democratic primary will begin," the text states. "And you will see why 2008 isn't going to be like '1984.'" It signs off with "BarackObama.com"

Well the guilty party was caught, an employee of Blue State Digital, who likewise is under the employ of the Barack Obama camp.

Obama says he knew nothing about it, as does Blue State Digital. The offending employee has now been terminated.

I don"t buy it. Just as the story started to die they stir the pot again by "finding" their perp? Uh-huh, right… meanwhile Obama keeps his hands "clean".

No Rudy, you dont...

Rudy Giulianni says "I understand the Second Amendment. I understand the right to bear arms."  He said what he did as mayor would have no effect on hunting.
