David Feherty, a CBS Golf Analyst, must feel his career is in jeopardy because he made a joke that appeared in a Dallas magazine.

The Joke?

"Despite how the conflict has been portrayed by our glorious media, if you gave any U.S. soldier a gun with two bullets in it, and he found himself in an elevator with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Osama bin Laden, there's a good chance that Nancy Pelosi would get shot twice, and Harry Reid and bin Laden would be strangled to death."

 I see nothing there to apologize for...

Notice there isnt much talk about global warming right now, now its climate change, now there is an "official memo" that was sent to the NYT to stop using some terms because it "confuses" the unwashed masses who are too "stupid" to see what is going on. Truth is, the climate has changed in the past, it will change in the future, once there was lush green vegetation in siberia (as found in the belly of a frozen Mamoth) to glaciers that reached deep into the heart of Texas.

What I find (kinda) ironic is that the NYT and other news outlets will probably tow the line, yet the "reporters" at the Chicago Tribune didnt like the idea that their readers were surveyed about what kind of news they want to read.

Is there any suprise that newspapers are losing readers by the bucketload?
