Not to be outdone...

by my fellow bloggers...

Kick the bums out!

Which bums? Big Splash water park thats who.

First they didnt fix rotting beams that the Dept of Labor said needed to be replaced (dont forget the accident where a slide selection collapsed)

Now after some digging, County Commisioner John Smaligo discovers that Big Splash is nine months late in paying $130,000 rent.

What were the reasons for shutting down Bells again?

If it was good enough for Bell's it is good enough for Big Splash!

Everything seemingly is spinning out of control

Unrelated stories?

The first story is the pregnancy pact made at Gloucester High School in Massachusetts that we were all shocked about last week, The other is an interview in Playboy magazine (No I didn't read it, there was a small clip on the TV about it) with Dr. Drew concerning Scientology.

It wasnt so much the stories themselves but some of the quotes taken from the stories. In the pregnancy pact case, the one quote by a former student that said, "They're so excited to finally have someone to love them unconditionally..."

In the other story Dr. Drew was commenting on Tom Cruise and Scientology in general, in which he asked what draws people to "a cultish kind of environment like Scientology." He says it's a symptom of "a very deep emptiness..."

In both instances these is only one thing that will fill both of those needs

Slick Math

When gas was 1.50 a gallon, and oil was around 30.00 a barrel
the federal govt received 18.4 cents per gallon
the state of Oklahoma received 17 cents per gallon
the oil companies received 3.75 cents per gallon

now that gas is 4.00 a gallon
the federal govt receives 18.4 cents per gallon
the state of Oklahoma receives 17 cents per gallon
the oil companies receive 6.25 cents a gallon

so, even in this time of record profits for oil companies, the government still gets 6x the amount of money out of a gallon of gas than the oil companies do.

A tale of two bands...

The first band is Evanescence, a gothic metal band out of Arkansas. Even though they have stated in the past that they were Christians, in 2003 when CD was promoted in Christain books stores, one of the members stated that "We're actually high on the Christian charts, and I'm like, What the f*** are we even doing there?" If they really are Christians they destroyed their testimony. They would rather be thought of as a secular band and to deny Christ.

On the other end of the spectrum is a metal band out of Sweden called Astral doors (they sound a bit like Ronnie James Dio). They are not a Christian band, though many of their lyrics reference the church and Christ, when asked if they were a Christian band, they replied, "That is very strange, due to the fact that we had crucified priests on the cover to our debut album. The cover was chosen by the German Salvation Army as the worst album cover of the year. How about that? Astral Doors is definitely not a Christian band. We're not religious what so ever. I hope however that we have fans from all kinds of religions."

Yet another lapse of judgment?

Just how many of these people is he going to surround himself with? William Ayres, Rev. Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Tony Rezko, Rashid Khalidi and now Muslim Militant Raila Odinga?

Raila Odinga is the co-president of Kenya and Obama’s cousin. In 2006 Obama took a trip to Kenya and campaigned for him. Odinga promised to “rewrite the Constitution of Kenya to recognize Sharia as the only true law sanctioned by the Holy Quran for Muslim declared regions.” if he was elected president.

When he was not elected (and I’ll admit it looked like a fixed election) his followers rioted, murdered and burned Christians to death.

Notice a familier theme on Raila’s website?

Why is there no media attention to this association?
