Empty Promises

Jesus Christ is no longer on the cross. It is empty!

The burial clothes that he was wrapped in are folded in the tomb. They are empty!

The Stone has been rolled away, and Jesus is no longer in the tomb. IT IS EMPTY!

Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Matthew 28:5-6

That fixes THAT little problem

What problem? RFID chips or something similer being implanted in humans. Up until this point they would require an outside power source of some sort. Now MIT and Texas Instruments have developed a chip that recharges using a persons body heat.

So far the new chip is a proof of concept. Commercial applications could become available "in five years, maybe even sooner, in a number of exciting areas," Chandrakasan says. For example, portable and implantable medical devices, portable communications devices, and networking devices could be based on such chips and thus have greatly increased operating times. There may also be a variety of military applications in the production of tiny, self-contained sensor networks that could be dispersed in a battlefield.

Carry My Cross

As long as I remember
I've been walking through the wilderness
Praying to the Father
And waiting for my time
I've come here with a mission
And soon I'll give my life for this world

I'm praying in the garden
And I'm looking for a miracle
I find the journey hard but
It's the reason I was born
Can this cup be passed on
Lord, I pray your will be done
In this world

So I'll carry my cross
And I'll carry the shame
To the end of the road
Through the struggle and pain
And I'll do it for love
No, it won't be in vain
Yes, I'll carry my cross
And I'll carry the shame

I feel like I'm alone here
And I'm treated like a criminal
The time has come for me now
Even though I've done no wrong
Father, please forgive them
They know not what they've done
In this world

Three more days and I'll be coming back again
Three more days and I'll be coming back again

Cause and effect

some want to say it started with Rock and Roll… the moral decline of the world. But looking through history, there have always been things that "caused" moral decline, for example in the 20s and 30s it was jazz and swing dancing and alcohol. But there is so much more to the story than that. After Rock became more mainstream, the sights were set to other things, in the 80s it was Dungeons and Dragons and that it "caused" suicides, in the 90s it was cartoons and horror movies "causing" violence, and now in the 2000s its violence in video games and that it is the "cause" of violence.

These items in and of themselves are not the "cause" of anything.

The "cause" is not the games, the music, or the gadgets; the problem is "parents" have become so detached from their children they (the children) have no understanding of right and wrong anymore. The parents look for things to blame for their failings (kind of like Christians blaming politicians for abortions). Parents give their kids "stuff" to shut them up for a while. When I was growing up it was rare to find a kid with a separate phone in his room. Most houses had the phone and television in a central location, and if the children received any outside stimulus the parents were nearby to monitor the situation. Now they have cell phones, TVs, and internet access in their rooms, parents don't have a clue who their kids are talking to, what they are listening to or what they are watching. Kids want to learn and since their parents don't interact with their kids they learn their behavior from others.

You my not like the guy, but Marilyn Manson said it best "The message that I'm sending out to them is raise your kids better or I'll be raising them for you."

The root of all Evil

1 Timothy 6:10 - For the love of money is the root of all evil:

One doesn’t have to look much further than the money crisis in America to see that this is true. America’s economy has been built on a house of cards, and it is everyone’s fault.

The American consumers lust for the newest gadgets, at the lowest prices possible. While living well beyond their means which is evident by the housing and credit crisis.

Mortgage companies and banks lending money to people who have no business with a line of credit, and enticed some people into believing they could afford a home by offering up ARM and Sub-prime loans.

Home builders and suburbs, building more and more houses, while the old ones just sit empty.

The American corporations, in order to squeeze every last drop out of their profits have sent our manufacturing base across the boarder or overseas, meanwhile petitioning the Federal Gov’t for tax relief.

The "Church" has abandoned the word of God for a health and wellness doctrine in order to fill their pews and their collection plates.

And lastly the Gov’t encouraging the population as a whole to spend and spend and spend.

Nanny State

Get ready, the nanny state is coming! If you don’t quite know what that term means, it’s where the state determines that it must protect everyone from themselves, at the expense of their civil liberties. One of the worst offenders is the UK. The UK has more cameras watching its citizens than any nation in the world all in the name of keeping its population safe. Now on a street in London they are experimenting with padding lamp posts so inattentive pedestrians won’t hurt themselves when they run into them. (Maybe they can record them and put the results onto a DVD for everyone to laugh at them). This is just an other stupid idea to protect people from themselves.

The UK isn’t exempt from such stupidity either. In Kentucky one legislator wants to make it illegal to post to a website anonymously illegal, to protect people from cyber-bullying. In other words, he wants to trample on the first amendment …you know the one where it states that the gov’t “shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press”.

Little by little the world is turning into a nanny state where the gov’t knows what is good for you and wants to take care of you from the cradle to the grave. And the people are letting it happen.

Those who give up essential liberties for temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin

Saint Albert

Both the Southern Baptists and the Catholic Church  were both reported on today that they will bow down at the alter of "Climate Change" one saying that they have a "biblical duty to stop global warming" and the other publishing a list of the new 7 deadly sins

As I have stated before, we should be good stewards of what God has given us, but to buy into the global warming cult that's only purpose is to shove socialism down everyone's throat is not Christian, its Idolatry.

So that's the Democrats problem...

They dont understand the concept of math.

Yesterday Pelosi said that Voters will determine Dem, not party leaders. The problem with that thinking is that in order to secure the nomination, Clinton needs something like 97% of the reminaing delegates and Obama needs well over 70% of the remaining delegates. With they way they have been splitting the vote in every state, that is not mathematically probable.

It's over

The future of our nation is now in the hands of one of three liberals...
