Merry Christmas

I just ran across this photo from Christmas past, I hope it brings as big of a smile to your face as it did mine...

How to curb another Blagojevich type incident

What needs to happen is, when you run for the presidency, you must vacate your senate/house seat, you aren't representing your constituents anyway at that point. The only exception would be if your term expires before the next job starts, but you may not run for both your old seat and the presidency.

The Vice Presidential selection must also vacate their seat if the term ends the following year (like Joe Biden this year, he won his seat and the vice presidency, now the Governor will select his replacement for the next 2 years).

This will fix several issues:

1) If you are running for an office you aren’t doing the job you were elected for.

2) It gives the people control of who will represent them.

3) It will prevent seat selling buy people like the Illinois Governor, since the people will be given the power to elect who they want.

Talons and Arena Football news

The Arena Football League cancels their 2009 season. However the AF2, of which the Talons are a part of, will play on as normal.

An Okie's guide to food in Branson

There is nothing worse than going to a new town and not knowing where the good food is, and it seems some of the "trip advisor" reviews are either stacked, or just plain wrong.

So in the interest of helping travelers along, I thought I would share my opinions on what the best or worst restaurants.

The Good:

BT Bones - Good steaks, especially the "Flat Iron", however their in store entertainment is a bit on the loud side.

The Farmhouse - "Home cooked" meals, their Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes are really good.

Dockers - I dont like buffets & I like their breakfast buffet.

Charlies Ribs and Steaks - had their burger, better than most.

Danna's BBQ & Burger Shop - Had a burger there earlier this year in thier West Branson location, it's pretty good with pulled pork on top.

The Bad:

Sadies Sideboard Restaurant - remember how I said I dont like Buffets... these guys didnt change my mind.. cold, tasteless, not sure how they can call it BBQ.

If you have any other suggestions, let me know...

Real or not?

Becasue of the SCotUS case on Friday I thought I would visit the Obama "Birth Certificate" issue.

First let me say, I dont know the truth, I want to know the truth, and Obama could lay it to rest in about 10 seconds, but he hasn't.

This situation reminds me of the forged documents that Dan Rather tried to incriminate President Bush with a few years ago, so I decided to try a little experiment...

here is the "Birth Certificate" that Obama has presented as the real thing:

I opened up the file in Photoshop and using red Arial 12.5 type I typed out his name, with 5 spaces between each part.

I then moved the red type over the original type.

Ill let you be the judge...

UPDATE: and apparently, Im not the only one who think its been photoshopped.

Quotes from the weekend...

here are some notable quotes I heard over the weekend:

From the movie Get Smart, where the plan is to blow up Hollywood:
Shtarker: Too bad about all the dead movie stars.
Siegfried: Yes. What will we do without their razor-sharp political advice.

Tony Siragusa, former Defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, concerning Plaxico Burress' recent legal problems in NYC.
"Kids, if you feel you have to go someplace with a gun for protection, you are better off staying at home."

Bob Marley after a concert, two days after being shot.
"The people who were trying to make this world worse are not taking a day off. How can I? Light up the darkness."
