I want to know who this state rep is!
one State Representative counters that a developed river, while it
would mean more tax money, would bring more entertainment options for
everyone.
Firstly... The people of the North Side, West Side, East Side, and South side dont care about "entertainment options", especially when the people pushing these "entertainment options" are the same people that evicted BELLS, a real entertainment option!
Secondly... there is nothing in this plan that will increse the tax base, its nothing but parks and "gathering areas". All it will do is drain the people's pockets to pay for it.
We give and give and give, and all they do is waste, waste, WASTE!
The city/county gov't is no better than the begger on the side of the (pothole infested) road. Even though their sign says they are homeless needing some money for food, you know that giving them any money will be immediatly wasted on booze and/or drugs.
So why are you even considering giving these people more of your hard earned money? Its time to "help" the city by just saying NO. If you want better streets, just say NO to the River Tax, we already had some people interested in developing it WITHOUT raising OUR taxes.
Will Iran really pull the trigger, or are they just playing a game?

NO River TAX Vote NO Oct. 9
"I will be voting NO on the River TAX. Tulsa County has the highest total tax burden of any county in Oklahoma and each year that burden seems to be expand. I am compelled to stand with Tulsa County taxpayers on this issue."
Ken Yazel
Tulsa County Assessor
"This vote is not about the river; it is about Tulsa priorities."
"At a time when our streets are deteriorating, schools are failing, and crime is rising, the City of Tulsa would be foolish to surrender more taxing authority to the county.
This county tax is bad public policy. It places the cities within Tulsa County at the mercy of county government and diverts vital resources the cities may need in order to fix basic infrastructure."
John Eagleton
Tulsa City Councilor
Roscoe H. Turner
Tulsa City Council Chairman
Broken Arrow priorities
"Taking tax dollars from Broken Arrow citizens to pay for improvements in other cities ties our hands in meeting our own city’s infrastructure and public safety needs."
Wade McCaleb
Mayor of Broken Arrow
Owasso priorities "I oppose this tax initiative for two fundamental reasons. The first is that there is nothing in the $282million proposal that would benefit my district. I am not for adding new taxes for projects unrelated to the basic infrastructure and public safety needs for which the government is responsible."
Randy Brogdon
State Senator - Owasso

Today I drove by the Camelot and noticed the Gargoyles had been removed from the "tower" though Im sad to see it go, sometimes things really do need to be removed for safety reasons.
Here are a couple of pics I took a few weeks ago:

Goodbye old girl you will be missed.
Monday, Tuesday
On Monday we emailed jokes
the Owner of Amrican AutoMart in Tulsa has put a bounty of $5 on the No River Tax signs. Since I am in the market for a new or used car, I made note of the name of the dealership so I could avoid it. But after a bit of research I found out that it is a "tote the note" dealership I woulnt have gone the to purchase a car anyway.
Want an idea of what is quite possibly to come in the last days? Just look to the UK. It's Gov't is taking every possible bit of technology and applying it to use against... errr... for the protection of their citizens. Cameras, ID cards, and now a DNA database.
Because of the illegal alien invasion that our gov't allowed to happen, expect the same thing here, after all, its only fair!
"It's like cockfighting in Puerto Rico," she said. "There are certain things that are indicative to certain parts of the country."
Let's change the word dogfighting to crossburning. Since that is something that is indicative of the south, does that make it ok Whoopi?
