Is it too early to endorse a Presidential candidate?

Rep. Duncan Hunter is throwing his hat in the ring. I dont know a whole lot about this guy but everything he has stood for so far sounds like a step in the right direction...

1) Voted against NAFTA & CAFTA
2) Co-Authored the 700 mile fence along Mexico
3) opposed most-favored-nation status for China
4) Votes Pro-life
5) Against Gun Control

Fish and Chips

As I had mentioned earlier, Livestock was only the beginning when it came to "chipping" now a report out of the UK says that in 10 years Britons' could be microchipped like dogs. According to the article, its already happening here with mental patients (and criminals IIRC)

As someone (mockingly?) mentioned in the comments section of the article, its a "no-brainer" and all children should be chipped "for their protection", though I believe he was joking, I touched on that attitude in another previous article.

The time is near...

Revelation 13:16-17 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

I am so glad we let the Bass Pro Shop go to BA...

So we could have an iconic arena with no place to build anything... Aren't You?

Well that was... Ironic...

Late last night, just before going to bed (12:30AM...ish) I decided to catch up on all the news, hitting all of my online news sources. There is a poll on KTUL's site that asks: "Would you trust electronic voting machines if they were used in Oklahoma?". Not trusting electronic voting boths, because of not having a  paper trail, the possibility of hacking, outright fraud, and believing that Oklahoma actually does have one of the best voting booth hardware/system out there I voted "no". The results were something like 55% For, 45% against with around 3500 votes. I'm not positive of the numbers, but it was in that ball park with about 10% seperating the "Yes" & "No" votes.

This morning I had to get up early to take care of some business (havent dont it yet, they dont open for another 45 minutes), and just out of curiosity I looked back at the results. between 12:30 AM and 6:30 AM the number of votes ballooned to 11,528 Votes, 81% which were for electronic voting.

Update: 9:53AM the total number of votes is up to 31352 votes!

Border War

Its too late to see it at the theater, but it is available for purchase, and I highly recommend seeing it. Expect to be angered...

by the human smugglers that exploit those looking to make their life better. In effect holding them hostage until they pay the balance of their trip. Or leaving them to fend for themselves in the desert after their 2 hour walk turns into days.

by those asking for "rights" in the USA by those who are too cowardly to do anything to fix the problems in their own country.

by those wanting to retake Arizona, New Mexico and California (because they have done such a great job on their side of the border)

by the Mexican gov't non-cooperation concerning criminals that flee back to Mexico.

by the inaction of the US gov't, Congressman J.D.Hayworth stated the problem pretty clearly in the film, The Right view immigrants as cheap labor and the left view them as cheap votes.

An alternate proposal…

Thursday Morning Michael DelGiorno had “Bob” on his show talking up his alternate river proposal, it quickly became a joke, literally. The sad part was that some aspects of the proposals made more sense than the Channels project that is being rammed down the taxpayers throat.

One of the items that was mentioned that whatever project we slap on the river should be open to the public and not some private recluse for the privileged few. The main item that sparked my interest was building above the river, like a bridge, which would have little to no effect concerning flooding. So here is my proposition…
  • Build a platform in the middle of Zink Lake. With access by covered walkable bridges, via sky trams, & possibly boats coming from both sides of the river.
  • On this platform there can be retail shops restaurants, and entertainment venues.
  •  Since there will be no traffic it will be pedestrian friendly, and covered walkways would help protect people from the elements.
  • Like the fountain at the 23rd street Bridge, there can be fountains built into the platform.
  • Parking can be on either side of the river.
  • The will help open up the West bank for more development.
  • The cost of building a platform would be significantly cheaper than building “land” and the equivalent of section 8 housing for the wealthy.
The benefits of such a development would be numerous, it would actually promote growth along the river, it would provide a place to go that all Tulsans could use, it would be unique without breaking the bank.

Another viable option to be used either with the above proposal or completely on its own is to do something with the old 11th Street bridge, rig it up where it could be used as  an open air market.

Newt Alert

We don’t need another phony conservative…

The sissyfying of America

All because a few parents dont want their children to experience any possible injury, punishment, unfairness or basically any real life experiences. They would rather coddle their children, or worse yet, they are too lazy to properly raise their children, and dont want those with a little responsibility to step up to the plate and instill some values in their kids, because it will make them look bad.

First it was swats then dodge ball now its tag…

And some people have the gall to wonder why the children are growing up dumb, fat, allergic to everything and irresponsible.

Heres a hint parents, its not the video games they play or the tv shows they watch, its the amount of time that you let them watch/play those, get off your lazy ass and get them outside where, yes, they may scuff a knee. Get them off the cell phone (and while you're at it, put yours down). Pull them away from the X-Box, the Movies, and whatever else they are attached to and do something with them. And lastly quit bitching about what is happening at the schools and get involved, if you are outraged that the schools have removed discipline and activities for the kids stand up to the busy-bodys, its the squeaky wheel that gets the oil, and good parents have been way to quiet on matters like this.

Drinking the Kool-aid

As a people we have become so desensitized to losing our privacy, we just don’t care anymore, and that is just the way it was planned.

The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either. - Ben Franklin

Defending bad human behavior with nature?

This argument has come up many times in the past, to which it can be countered with:

Incest is common among animals.
Rape is common among animals.
Pedophilia is common among animals.
Animals eat their young.
Animals eat their own crap.
Animals kill each other with no repercussions, in fact may be rewarded.
Animals cull the weak.

The fact is what separate Humans from animals is the ability to control the base instincts, otherwise, it would be survival of the fittest...

The Hypocracy is Obvious...

Reaction to the death of former Rep. Gerry Studds, D-Mass.:

"Gerry's leadership changed Massachusetts forever and we'll never forget him. His work on behalf of our fishing industry and the protection of our waters has guided the fishing industry into the future and ensured that generations to come will have the opportunity to love and learn from the sea. He was a steward of the oceans."
- U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass.

"No one fought harder for human rights, particularly in Latin America; for our environment; and for the fishermen of New England and the entire nation. He was a true pioneer."
- U.S. Rep. Jim McGovern, D-Mass.

"Gerry was a stalwart champion of New England's fishing families as well as a committed environmentalist who worked hard to demonstrate that the cause of working people and the cause of the environment go hand in hand with the right leadership. When he retired from Congress, he did not retire from the cause, continuing to fight for the fishing industry and New England's environmental causes.
- U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.

"I am very saddened by the death of Gerry Studds. From his days in the early 1970s as an articulate and effective opponent of the Vietnam war, through his consistent leadership on environmental issues, to his insistence that the U.S. government stop ignoring the AIDS crisis, Gerry was a forceful advocate for causes that were not always popular and that were consequently shunned by many politicians."
- U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass.

Compare that, and what was done to this scumbag by the democrats and compare it to the Foley page scandal.

A Stumbling Block

As a deacon of a church Governor Brad Henry should be more than familiar with these verses:

I Cor. 8:9 take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak

I Jn. 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him

Matthew 18:7  Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes!

Even by his own admission concerning the lottery /tax on the stupid (August 2004) If it's immoral, then you know, I suppose it is. And to top that he either grossly miscalculated the revenue that would come in… or he lied.

With the stumbling blocks laid out by our Governor, how many families have been ruined? How many suicides, bankruptcies, divorces and robberies?

James 2:18… I by my works will show you my faith.

Paying for our own demise

Just a few things to think about...
  • China has the fastest growing military in the world.
  • Muslim oil producing countries are reaping the benefits of our cash for their oil, not to mention the loon down in Venezuela.
  • Illegal Immigrants are flocking to this country to take advantage of our wide open welfare state.
  • In the interest of saving a few dollars, corporations are shipping jobs overseas, or hiring the above mentioned illegals.
  • Our public schools are turning out unprepared children for the future.

What do these have in common? We are paying for it, either by buying stuff “Made in China”, buying gasoline or by paying taxes and not demanding accountability.

We should be self sufficient when it comes to energy, but the government is in bed with the energy producers giving us the status quo. We should vote with our wallets and quit buying stuff made by anyone other than us or our true alleys. And we should demand accountability when it comes to the dumbing down of our school children

Politically correct double standard

As mentioned before and now more recently in the news "The NCAA has banned the use of some Native American nicknames and logo in postseason tournaments, saying they are hostile and abusive."

"We are planning on aggressively defending our right and our responsibility, quite frankly, to conduct our own NCAA championships in an environment free of racial stereotyping," Williams said.

So when are the Fighting Irish going to have to change their names? the Sooners? the Cowboys? how about the Raiders, the Jayhawks, the Rebels, theRagin' Cajuns, the Conquerors or the Crusaders ? or does "racism" only apply to non whites. We all know that is the case... If you are a redneck you are fair game...

Who knew what, when?

This Foley thing is ticking me off, he is a disgusting human being, who at least had the decency to resign when he was outed (Unlike certain democrats), but that’s not what is making me mad.

The democrats are yelling about wanting to know who knew what & when, and I agree, anyone who knew about this should step down immediately. However by their own admission news agencies like ABC held onto information which was shopped around in August. We have also been told it was a "well know secret". If this really is the case why aren’t those people being held accountable? What else did Foley do while they held onto the information for political gain?

Spamming for Mohammed

Earlier this week I mentioned an email that was sent to the Gideons, last night I received a piece of Spam urging me to join Islam. Instead of deleting it I responded, with one simple verse..

John 14:6  Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Either Jesus is a liar, or the "prophet" of the pagan Sumerian moon god. Either way, Ill take my chances with the one true God who will judge me after my death and not accept a religion which if you do not follow its beliefs you are liable to have your head chopped off.

Mooooving on...

well Im not, Living on Tulsa Time is, and in fact if you are seeing this, you are at its new home.

Where is this home? Tulsa's own Tulsa Connect, I figure if Im going to have a page about and for Tulsa, I should use a local host. Ive been with Tulsa Connect since they took over cottagesoft.com/intcon.net and have had nothing but praise for their customer service and technical knowhow. If you are needing an ISP (dial up or DSL), or some webspace, give them a call.

(918) 584-1100

On a side note, before the move, I made some "fixes" to the blog, like the number of comments showing up, and a spam filter. If you see anything broken on the site please let me know, Thanks!

Sign that petition...

If you make it out to the fair, be sure to hit the Flat Tax booth on the lower level of the Exposition Center and sign the petition to eliminate the income tax.

Speaking of taxes, unlike Vision 2025 and 4 to fix part deux, what was done with the original 4 to Fix money was money well spent, and I’m sure most would agree. I would be more inclined to support new projects if they weren’t pie in the sky money grabs

Tulsa Terrorist?

Heard about this picture on KFAQ this morning... You can make your own assumptions...

A masked Fatah-allied militant shoots at the door of the office of local Hamas lawmakers as furniture is burned in the street in the West Bank city of Hebron.

Its a holy war...

I recieved this anonymous note that was sent to the Gideons' Headquarters.

In the name of Allah the beneficent and the merciful, this is your notice to stop the free distribution around the world of the Bible consisting of the New Testament and the book of psalms and the book of proverbs with immediate effect.  We beg of you, in the name of Allah, to quit living in ignorance and embrace Islam before it is too late.

For those that do not know, the Gideons are those that are responsible for the placing of bibles in locations like hotel rooms around the world, to spread the "Good News".
