CIA: China's military could get 'adversarial'
At least thats what this report is saying...
sad thing is all those trinkets you have been "saving money on" have been funding their build up.

Matthew 24:32-34 (King James Version)
32: Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34: Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
In 1948, Israel was once again reestablished as a nation. It is believed that because of the above passage, and the association of Israel being represented by the fig tree, that the rebirth of Israel (32) is the starting point to the end times (33). Most of things in end-time prophecy cannot happen without a viable Jewish state. The generation not passing has been the subject to debate, some put a hard date on it at 40 years since that is how long a generation is considered, but obviously that wasn’t right (1988). Personally, I think the “passing” refers to dying, so in my opinion, anyone born 60 years ago is part of that generation, and things could drag on for another 40+ years, if Israel’s being reborn is the catalyst.
The relocation of the Seattle Supersonics has a clause in the contract that the name of the team will include "Okalhoma City". If it isnt a state team, then why is the entire state subsidizing it?
Concerning the whole Texas FLDS raid last week, two random thoughts have been rolling around in my head.
Firstly, why is polygamy against the law, or at least actively prosecuted? The only difference between it and adultery is that in the case of polygamy the women know what is going on. I also respect this “version” of LDS more than the mainstream version, because it is still following what its founder, who claimed to get instructions from God, had originally declared. God doesn’t change, so for the LDS to declare that polygamy is wrong is saying either God changed his mind, or Joseph Smith lied. I still believe that the LDS church is WAY off base in their beliefs, but this particular sect stuck to their guns, which is better than some Christian denominations have done.
Secondly we have to deal with the alleged child abuse. And to be honest, this thought has been in my head for a while now, especially with the way “children” are behaving.
One hundred years ago, it was not uncommon to take on a 13 year-old as a wife. My wife’s grandmother was married at 13, In Jewish culture a bar mitzvah is held when he is 13 to celebrate the boy’s entering into adulthood. Recently, we as a society, have moved the goalposts, first to 16, then to 18, and now to 21, all under the mantra of “letting the kids be kids”.
Part of this has come about because we are no longer an agriculture based society and as such we don’t need the children in the field. We still see remnants of that era today with “summer break” from school. Unfortunately the overall effect has failed miserably. We have children growing up too fast (without actually maturing) because the parents don’t seem to care, all you have to do is see what the “girls” are wearing at the mall, and on the flip side of the coin we have grownups who never grew up, as witnessed by some of the more recent incidents of women and young boys. Do not misunderstand me, I’m not saying that we need to go back to marrying at age 13, children today are not mature enough, trained enough, or responsible enough to enter into such a situation. Unfortunatly they arent mature enough, trained enough or responsible enough to enter adulthood (by our definition) either thanks to some very poor parenting.
Back to the compound in Texas, we have “children” (this is in quotes, because we just don’t know at the moment) becoming pregnant, but at the same time we have a 16 year old Jamie Lynn Spears pregnant, the media celebrating it, and the 19 year old boyfriend is not in jail. Its a sick double standard, no wonder we have so much teen pregnacy outside the walls of cultist compounds.

Obama is bitter, because people are now asking some more personal questions about him, but I would have to ask, what would the media do if McCain’s pastor was preaching that Blacks were inferior, and his acquaintance was a grand wizard of the KKK?
You choose your friends, you choose your church… looks like he has made some poor choices, unless that is what he really believes.
Michele Obama - Wife
"For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country"
"Reverend" Wright – Race baiting "preacher"
"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people"
"U.S.K.K.K.A."
"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye"
(funny how he has no problem accepting a 1.6 million dollar house in a white neighborhood with a 10 million dollar allowance set up for him by his church)
William Ayers – Known terrorist
"I don’t regret setting bombs, I feel we didn’t do enough." (in an interview after 911)
But only as far as the river. QT is going to build what looks to be a nice addition to river parks, right where a bridge to the west bank of Tulsa should be going. The opportunities for redevelopment and recreation are almost endless on the west side, but apparently that would cut into the good 'ol boys plan. Chris Medlock had to fight tooth and nail to get the Tulsa Hills development to go in, so it looks like that will be our only bone.
When will these elitists admit that there is more to Tulsa than Utica Square and that you need all of Tulsa to thrive for the city to succeed?
North Tulsa, East Tulsa and West Tulsa are tired of being treated like red-headed step-children. We are tired of paying for your toys that do nothing to improve the overall livability of Tulsa.
"I was raised with Midwestern values and an unshakable faith in America and its policies," she said. "Now, Americans who believe in the Second Amendment believe it's a matter of constitutional right. Americans who believe in God believe it's a matter of personal faith.
"I grew up in a church-going family, a family that believed in the importance of living out and expressing our faith. The people of faith I know don't 'cling' to religion because they're bitter. People embrace faith not because they are materially poor, but because they are spiritually rich.
"Our faith is the faith of our parents and our grandparents. It is a fundamental expression of who we are and what we believe."
Did she really mean that? who knows, but even a broken clock is right twice a day
